The first ever guest at the hostel (a rastafari Japanese musician) named the hostel after the famous beer, Corona.
But as they have always been closely linked to their family hostel, Caravella Backpackers at 149 The Esplanade they have now officially branded the two related hostels together.
They have developed a strong reputation for providing comfortable and clean accommodation for the traveller on a budget.
Rooms have been recently renovated and are bright, airy and spacious with a choice of air conditioned or fan cooled doubles, twins, triples and dormitory accommodation.
Bathrooms are very clean and modern (plenty of hot water!) and kitchens are spacious and well equipped.
All dorms are spacious but have small numbers – four share only.
Located in the heart of Cairns, Corona Backpackers hostel is very close to all the action, fun and activities right in the middle of the city centre. Cairns’ world famous lagoon and markets are only a two minute walk away.

Cancellation Policy
We require a minimum of 72 hours notice to re-schedule a reservation.
Cancellation fees are as follows:
20% cancellation fee 30 days or more prior to departure.
50% cancellation fee if within 30 days prior to departure.
100% cancellation fee within 14 days prior to departure
